JFD Performance Solutions has used the products and services of TTI Success Insights (TTI SI), a global leader in human behavior assessments, since 2009 and has been an approved Value-Added Associate since 2012.

One product that we use extensively is the validated DISC behavioral assessment. DISC is built around four unique behavioral styles and how the unique qualities of each style impact the way we approach people, tasks, and the entirety of our daily lives. A person’s behavior or manner of doing things is a necessary and integral part of who they are.

The DISC assessment measures behaviors and interprets the universal language of “how we act” (observable human behavior), leveraging these four behavioral styles or dimensions:

  1. Dominance (D): How we respond to problems and challenges and make decisions
  2. Influence (I): How we interact with others, share opinions, and influence others to our point of view
  3. Steadiness or Stability (S): How we respond to the pace of the environment
  4. Conscientiousness or Compliance (C): How we respond to rules, protocols, and procedures set by others

While a person may typically have one or two dominant characteristics, it’s the combination of the four components of DISC that defines a person’s behavior and creates a unique DISC profile or “behavioral makeup.”

A person takes the DISC assessment online by answering a series of questions, which typically takes only 10-15 minutes. Then, a report is generated uncovering unique insights about that individual. These insights can be used to improve performance, gauge suitability for a specific position, or be used during the hiring process.

DISC uncovers valuable insights for individuals, teams, and hiring managers alike due to its ability to measure how a person will typically react in certain situations. This makes DISC a valuable tool in the entire employment lifecycle. DISC can be used to assess potential candidates during the hiring process, determine proper fit of a current employee, and/or identify areas for personal growth.

Using DISC, we have worked with numerous companies and teams and thousands of individuals to help them better-understand human behaviors and potential, to improve communications, to work better together, etc.

If you would be interested in taking the DISC assessment, or learning more about it, please contact us.

Notes:

DISC examines a person’s observable behaviors (the “how” of one’s actions). DISC is not a “personality test” or an assessment of intelligence, motivation, skills, experience, education, or training.

TTI SI’s DISC report is EEOC and OFCCP compliant for use in the hiring and evaluation process.

While the concept of DISC originated from the work of American psychologist William Moulton Marston in the early 20th Century, TTI Success Insights has reinterpreted Marston’s work to create, with DISC, a highly effective, industry-leading behavioral assessment. Years of research has given TTI Success Insights’ DISC assessment proven reliability and validity.
